Hackathon: China Telecom NaaS challenge

The Challenge
China Telecom’s Kunlun platform and TM Forum proudly boast a wealth of cloud and network capabilities. We invite international developers to join us in uncovering groundbreaking scenarios and showcasing captivating products.
Before hacking in Copenhagen, we eagerly anticipate innovative ideas from across sectors, such as smart cities, connected vehicles, and AI. Your mission is to submit a proposal on China Telecom’ s Kunlun platform and secure a spot in the first round of competition with your visionary concept.
After our first-round competition, your mission is to create a demo utilizing at least one capability of China Telecom’ s Kunlun platform utilizing the available TM Forum assets. Over two days of intense hacking at the Bella Center in Copenhagen, you’ ll have the opportunity to leverage these powerful tools to craft cutting-edge solutions. Those who excel in this challenge will have a higher chance of securing the grand prize and gaining industry support from China Telecom.

Key dates:
- 30 May: Registration deadline
- 2-16 June: Continue preparations; email communications and weekly meetings with the mentor.
- 17-19 June: Prototype development: 9am – 5pm, Bella Center, Copenhagen
- 19 June: The pitch at 9am and Innovation Awards ceremony at where winner will be announced at 1:30 pm.

Terms and conditions
Requirements:
Each team will consist of a minimum of three (3) and a maximum of four (4) participants.
At least one (1) member is requested to be onsite during the hackathon (covered by an All-Access Pass), others may work virtually.
Judging criteria:
Teams will be judged based on the following three weighted criteria:
Work Creativity (55%): Evaluated by Completion and Project Innovation. Completion: Assess work integrity & deliverability. Entries must use at least 1 China Telecom’s unique cloud-network capability + TM Forum assets, covering functional integrity, quality, UI interaction, testing. Project Innovation: Review innovativeness & differentiation from similar products.
Market Value (30%): Entries should focus on sustainable development, create positive value, offer feasible solutions, have practical scenarios, match user needs, and emphasize user experience.
Code Quality (15%): Assessed by Software Operation, Capability Invocation, Code Standardization & Correctness, Performance Optimization, and Security.
Terms:
Hardware requirements and connectivity: Hackers are expected to bring their own hardware for the Hackathon. Hackers must provide any necessary converters to connect their devices to the available power and internet sources.
All proprietary and intellectual property rights in any data, services or other materials provided to Hackers during the Hackathon shall remain the property of their respective owners.
TM Forum will provide all Hackers with All Access passes to the Event, granting entry to the Event during event hours. For more information, please refer to the All-Access Pass Details. Hackers are responsible for their own travel and accommodation expenses. TM Forum will not cover any costs associated with attending the Hackathon.
Location
The hackathon is part of the activities at DTW Ignite, taking place from 17-19 June 2025 at the Bella Center in Copenhagen. The Bella Center Copenhagen is located in a central location in the heart of Ørestad with its own Metro station. The Bella Center is just 6 kilometers away from Copenhagen Airport and 8 kilometers away from the city center.
