For attendees requiring additional entry documentation, advance travel planning and early visa application are important as visa applications are subject to a great degree of scrutiny.

It is strongly suggested that all attendees review the websites below and/or contact their local embassy to determine what if any, travel documents they will need to travel to Denmark.

TM Forum is able to provide registered delegates with an Invitation Letter needed to assist in this process. Please note that TM Forum is unable to contact the Embassy on your behalf. It is the responsibility of each delegate to make the necessary arrangements related to this process.

There are two ways to obtain a letter of invitation:

  • A completed DTW24 - Ignite Registration OR
  • A confirmed hotel booking – you must request this from your hotel directly The letter will be issued from the hotel, not TM Forum.

In the event that a visa is denied, the delegate can provide proof and we will issue a complete refund of the registration fee.

After you register for DTW24 - Ignite, there will be an option on the confirmation screen to request a letter, as well as a link in your confirmation email.

Copenhagen Airport is the busiest airport in Scandinavia, and one of the oldest international airports in Europe with direct flights to more than 150 international destinations.

It is located 8km from Copenhagen city center. The airport consists of three terminals; all international arrivals are at Terminal 3. Copenhagen Airport has been rated the most efficient airport in Europe ten times in the past twelve years.

Taxis are an expensive method of transport in Copenhagen, but all taxis do accept major credit cards for payment. There are no ride-share apps available in Copenhagen.

A taxi from Bella Center to the city center or Copenhagen airport costs approx. DKK 200 each way.

Public transport is very reliable and punctual. The easiest way to travel is the Metro. The Metro runs 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Purchase your Copenhagen Card here, and enjoy unlimited travel on trains, buses, metro, and harbor buses without the worry of traffic zones and ticket prices.

Choose the validity of your Copenhagen Card for 24 – 120 hours and download it direct to your phone or collect it in person when you arrive in Copenhagen.

The currency in Denmark is Danish Kroner (DKK).

Many places accept Euros, while some accept American Dollars, Norwegian, and Swedish Kroner, but please note that the exchange rate is not to your benefit.

All major credit cards are widely accepted at hotels, stores, cafes, and restaurants. It is a good idea to ask beforehand though. Some places might charge a fee when accepting foreign credit cards as payment. Be sure to bring a picture ID when using a credit card in Denmark.
