Mats Karlsson

Mats Karlsson is an experienced telecommunications leader with over 30 years in Ericsson working across multiple areas and domains. He is currently Vice President and Head of Solution Area Business & Operations Support Systems within Ericsson Cloud Software & Services. He is responsible for the business which provides the software products and services that support over 300 service providers around the world with their Business & Operations Support Systems.
His experience and deep knowledge provide a unique perspective and insights on the network, IT and operational transformation that service providers are embarked upon together with the opportunity and challenges of capturing the transformative potential of 5G.His profile is characterized by a solid experience of both product development and business responsibility. For many years Mats has also been involved in driving and defining Ericsson Technology Strategy as well as Strategy on Group Level.

Mats holds a M.Sc. in Applied Physic and Electronics from Linköpings Tekniska Högskola in Sweden and a M.Sc. in Telecommunications from Aston University, Birmingham in United Kingdom.
