Gilbert Gaw is a seasoned technology leader with over 20 years of experience in IT strategy, enterprise transformation, and innovation within the telecommunications industry. As First Vice President and Head of IT and the Transformation Office at PLDT and Smart, he leads critical programs across cloud adoption, AI enablement, and platform modernization.
In his current role, Gilbert has delivered major transformation outcomes—including the successful migration of enterprise applications to the cloud with zero critical incidents, significant reduction in service-related issues, and the rollout of AI-enabled platforms that improved service reliability. He also led the design and implementation of a long-term enterprise architecture roadmap, and restructured IT operations to reduce delivery lead times and drive consistent, outcome-based execution.
