Per Kangru

Per Kangru is Head of Technology for AIOps at VIAVI Solutions. Previously, Per built and executed a mix of organic and inorganic strategy for the AIOps business as part of the VIAVI corporate strategy organization. He has twenty-five years of experience supporting leading telecom and IT companies in their transformation projects. His current work focuses on the evolution of Telcos into TechCos with emphasis on network and service management automation moving towards the Dark NOC. Per, along with VIAVI, was among the founding members of the ETSI ZSM ISG. He has supported several leading NEMs and Operators in the work toward O-RAN and open disaggregated networks.

Per has been involved in building the global success of 4G (LTE) supporting operators and vendors in the development, deployment, and optimization of their networks and services. He actively participates in several industry bodies including LSTI, TIA/Quest, NGMN, and TMForum. Per is a co-author of a bestselling book on LTE published by Wiley and Understanding 5G published by VIAVI. Per has several patents granted in the area of telecom test and measurement and assurance.
