Ramon Romero

Ramon Romero is a Senior Manager with extensive experience in driving automation to support the transformation of Telefónica Group’s operating companies. He currently serves as Head of Network & OSS Operation Transformation at the corporate level and is one of the key leaders of the Autonomous Network Program, which aims to revolutionize operational processes across Telefónica’s footprint through automation and AI-driven solutions.

Ramon has successfully led strategic initiatives to enhance operational autonomy within Telefónica, leveraging disruptive use cases that empower technicians with cutting-edge AI capabilities. His deep expertise in network operations has been instrumental in bridging traditional practices with next-generation technologies.

With over 25 years of experience at Telefónica Group, Ramon has held several leadership roles, including Network Systems Engineer at Telefónica Moviles Spain, OSS Technology Project Manager at Telefónica Spain, Head of Network Operations and Synergies at Telefónica International, and Head of Global NOC & Automation at Telefónica S.A.
Based in Madrid, Ramon holds a Master’s degree in Telecommunications Engineering from the Universidad Politecnica de Madrid and is a certified Project Management Professional (PMP).
