Rainer Deutschmann

Dr. Rainer Deutschmann has built, transformed and grown businesses across digital sectors,
including Telecommunications, Cloud & IT Services, TV/Media & Entertainment, Analytics & AI, and FinTech, both in mature and emerging markets.

Since 2020, he is Group COO at Telia Company, the Nordic and Baltic market leader. Previously, he served as Group COO at Dialog Axiata (2017 - 2020), as Chief Product & Innovation Officer at Reliance Jio in India (2014 - 2017), and held senior executive leadership positions in Deutsche Telekom AG, T-Mobile International AG, and McKinsey & Company. He served as Non-Executive Director at Rain South Africa Ltd., South Africa’s digital telco (2018 - 2020), and as Chairman of the Board of Directors at Deutsche Telekom UK Ltd. (2012 - 2014).
