Dr. Ayman Elnashar

Dr. Ayman Elnashar brings over 28 years of extensive experience in the ICT sector, distinguished by his profound expertise and innovative contributions. Holding a B.Sc., M.Sc. in Deep Machine Learning with Neural Networks, and a Ph.D. in Communications Engineering, Dr. Elnashar possesses a robust educational background that underpins his remarkable career journey.
Currently serving as the VP of Technology Strategy, Architecture, and Innovation at e& UAE, Dr. Elnashar leads transformative initiatives in network and IT domains, overseeing technology strategy, architecture, and innovation. His visionary leadership drives the evolution of e& UAE's technological landscape, positioning the company at the forefront of innovation and advancement.
Prior to his tenure at e& UAE, Dr. Elnashar held pivotal roles at du, where he played a pivotal role in shaping the technological landscape of the organization. As the VP & Head of Technology Architecture, Research and Development, and later as the VP & Head of Technology Planning, he spearheaded transformative initiatives, including the migration of du's Telco/IT multi-cloud and core network to Software Defined Networking/Network Functions Virtualization (SDN/NFV) and cloud-native architecture.
His tenure as Sr. Director – Wireless Networks, Terminals, and IoT at du saw him managing the company's broadband networks, terminals, and IoT technologies. Dr. Elnashar's forward-thinking leadership was evident in the establishment of the Terminal Innovation Lab in 2012 and the UAE 5G Innovation Gate (U5GIG) in 2014, solidifying UAE's position as a frontrunner in 5G innovation.
Dr. Elnashar's influence extends beyond organizational boundaries, with notable contributions at Mobily in Saudi Arabia and Orange Egypt. He is a prolific author/coauther, with over 40 influential papers/whitepapers and three books to his credit, cementing his status as a thought leader in the ICT industry.
