Ting Cai

Ting Cai is the Chief AI & Data Officer at Rakuten, where he leads AI and Data strategy, engineering and services for the company’s ecosystem of 70+ businesses. He is also responsible for the Rakuten Institute of Technology, Rakuten’s global research organization. Before joining Rakuten, Ting served as a Senior Director at Google, overseeing the Local Search product strategy and development. Prior to that, he held various senior leadership roles at Microsoft in Bing and Commerce, including serving as General Manager for News & Feeds. He holds a master's degree in computer science from Dartmouth College and an MBA from the University of Washington.
