The city of Nice is located on the French Riviera in Provence-Alpes-Côte d’Azur. With 7 kilometers of beach along the Promenade des Anglais, Nice has one of the longest and most famous beaches of the French Riviera. The Promenade des Anglais offers splendid views and many palm trees, with elegant hotels, bars, cafes, and restaurants all located on the promenade.
The city offers narrow streets, flanked by tall buildings painted in warm colors of reds, yellows and ochre.
A major attraction is the old town with long winding streets, outdoor markets, gastronomic restaurants, bars with live music, and brasseries.
All types of hotel accommodations are available in and around Nice. From elegant seaside five-star hotels to budget hotels. Some are a 5-minute walk from the Acropolis, and others are a 5-minute tram ride.

Please note: Hotels are in high demand during our conference due to the Cannes Film Festival. It is advisable to book as early as possible to secure the hotel of your choosing.
Getting to Nice
The Nice Cote d’Azur Airport is located on the Promenade des Anglais at the west entrance of the city, 7 km from downtown and is served with two terminals. A bus service connects both airport terminals to the center of Nice (6 Euro). The buses run two routes – route 99 to the central railway station in Nice; Gare Nice Ville, and route 98 to Promenade des Arts (from here, the Acropolis is a 4-minute walk).
Taxi services are also available. Rates range from 22 to 32 Euro from the airport to the center of Nice, plus supplement charges for the time of day, baggage and extra passengers.
Travelling by plane
Nice International Airport is the busiest international airport in France outside of Paris, located on the Promenade des Anglais at the west entrance of the city; 7 km from downtown and is served with two terminals. Buses go between the airport and the Gare de Nice-Ville railway stations and Nice- Riquier railway station. Taxi stands are located outside each terminal. Please have Euros available as taxis do not accept credit cards.
Travelling by train
Nice is served by a “U-shaped” tram route that runs from Comte de Falican, south to the city centre and coast and back to Pont Michel. You can travel from one end of town to the other in just 17 minutes. There is a tram every 3-5 minutes during the day, and every 12-20 minutes at night. The cost for one trip is €1.50. Ticket dispensing machines are located at all tram stations, and accept coin and credit cards.
Travelling by bus
An express bus service connects both airport terminals to the center of Nice for a charge of €6.
The buses run two routes:
- Bus #98 ‘Promenade des Arts’ will bring you to the beach hotels or the Old Town of Nice. It leaves every 20 minutes from the airport.
- Bus #99 ‘Gare SNCF’ will bring you to the Nice-Ville Train Station. It leaves every 30 minutes from the airport.
The public bus system of Nice connects most parts of the city, and a single bus fare will get you quickly around Nice and to outlying areas, as well. Tickets are sold in various points around the city and on the buses. The cost for one trip is €1.50.
Travelling by car
Taxi stands are located outside both terminals.

A taxi into Nice will take 20 minutes and cost you between €30 – €50 plus supplement charges for the time of day, baggage and extra passengers.
You can also use Uber from Nice airport for approx. €16 – €20.
The app will tell you clearly exactly where to meet, and tells you the type of car, license plate number, and driver’s name and photo, so it’s easy to spot your car.
Travelling by bicycle
Why not rent a bike for a day?
Velo Blue; self-service rental bikes can be found on every corner. 175 stations with 1,750 bikes. For €1 a day you can use the bikes as often as you like; the first 30 minutes is free. Take a bike from one stand, and leave it at another…it’s that easy and convenient!
Health and Safety
The city is an ideal location for an event of this size. All facilities are easily accessible, and the city provides a conducive environment for business. You should take the following steps whenever you travel:
- Make a copy of your passport, and pack it in a place separate from where you are carrying the original.
- Leave a copy of your itinerary with family or friends at home.
- Be especially cautious at crowded subways, train stations, bus stations, tourist sites, market places, festivals, and crime-ridden neighborhoods.
- Don’t use short cuts, narrow alleys, or poorly lit streets.
- Try not to travel alone at night; if you have no choice, let a colleague know where you are going.
- Avoid public demonstrations and other personal matters with strangers.
- Try not to wear conspicuous clothing and expensive jewelry, and do not carry excessive amounts of money or unnecessary credit cards
- Familiarize yourself with emergency exits and procedures at the venue, and your hotel
We are taking every precaution with the safety of our attendees, exhibitors, partners, and staff and this year you will see enhanced security measures.
Attendees will be required to follow the steps below to enter the main doors of the Acropolis each time they arrive at our event. The steps are simple, but necessary to ensure the safety of all.

Make sure you carry valid photo ID with you at all times. Identification documents MUST show your name in a Latin alphabet (no Chinese, Japanese, Korean or Arabic characters) and match the name on your badge. Attendees who refuse to provide their identification will not be able to collect their badge and will not be able to enter Digital Transformation World.
Contractors needing access during build days:
Each booth manager must submit details for all contractors that need access to their booth; passport details to be sent to [email protected] prior to May 12th. Onsite contractors must produce valid photo ID and be on the pre-approved list in order to gain entry.
No one will be allowed into the building without being on the approved list and producing valid ID.
Forgot your badge?
Anyone who forgets their badge and needs a reprinted one will be charged $75 plus VAT. This is refundable upon return of the 2nd badge.
