Jean-Christophe Laneri

Jean-Christophe Laneri is Head of Solution Area Cognitive Network Solutions since January 1^st, 2023, and a member of Business Area Cloud Software and Services Leadership team. This new Solution Area was introduced to lead customers into an AI centric operations transformation and enable best performing networks. The unit provides a holistic portfolio of multivendor AI SW applications together with network planning, design & optimization, consulting, learning and device & network testing services. Laneri leads a global team of >7500 people.

Previously, Laneri was Head of Common Radio Modules, managing a global team of >1200 engineers in North America, Europe and Asia, responsible for software, digital & mixed signal and product test solutions used across the radio portfolio.

Prior to this role, Laneri was responsible for the Network Solutions business in Ericsson Northeast Asia where 5G was first launched at scale in Korea, China and Japan. He supported telcos defining their 5G strategies and was instrumental to Ericsson’s leadership with key wins in these markets.

With over 15 years’ experience in the telecom and ICT industry, Jean-Christophe has broad experiences from different areas including research and standardization, development, product management, and sales. He joined Ericsson in 2006 and has worked in various leadership roles where he has engaged with lead customers globally. He has had long-term assignments in China and the USA.

Jean-Christophe Laneri holds a French Engineer diploma from ESIEA, a Master of Science from KTH in Sweden and MBAs from Tsinghua University in China and INSEAD in France.
