Timos Tsokanis

Timos Tsokanis was appointed Group Chief Technology & Information Officer of Ooredoo Group in January 2023, bringing with him a wealth of experience in leveraging technology to drive innovation and transformation in the telecommunications industry.

Prior to this role, Timos served as Chief Technology Officer at Ooredoo Algeria, where he spearheaded a remarkable turnaround. Under his leadership, the company achieved significant milestones, including comprehensive network expansion, acceleration of digitalisation, transformation of the IT landscape, and a full reorganisation of the technology function. Timos also played a pivotal role in reshaping the organisational culture, driving agility and innovation.

Before joining Ooredoo Algeria, Timos held senior positions in major telecom operators across the industry, where he successfully delivered business growth by harnessing the power of digitalisation and cutting-edge technology.

Timos holds a Master’s in Engineering from Worcester Polytechnic Institute, Massachusetts, USA, and a Diploma in Engineering from the National Technical University of Athens, Greece. He has also completed several leadership programs with globally renowned professional institutions, further cementing his expertise as a forward-thinking technology leader.
